@666AMC666 No problem man, glad i could help! I think that one will work, i think the usb port of the wii is 2.0 so dosent really matter if you have 2.0 or 3.0 it will get reduced to 2.0 speed. You should check out "Wiiflow" its a great usb loader with a nice interface, i use it myself. I think now you can use FAT for ur usb drive, but i still use WBFS. There is a neat program that helps you load ur game(also scrubbs them) to ur usb disc called "WBFS Manager". Both for mac and pc.

the external i bought is

Western Digital My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive

there is the same brand with only USB 2.0 and its been confirmed by 22 people that it works fine with the wii (GBAtemp compatibility list)

so i HOPE this one works, its literally the same hard drive only with USB 3.0

i got this one instead of the exact confirmed one because the confirmed one USB was really shitty and fragile

@666AMC666 No bother! You can use regular dvd-r :) i use Verbatim dvd-r at 4x. I would recommend you get a 2.5 disc, the 3.5 have external power and from what i read a lot of them goes to sleep during gameplay and freeze ur game. I have a western digital my passport essential 320gig. Google wii external hardrive compatible list and you will find a good site that list a lot of drives that works. That program sounds nice, would like to have it also =/

i have one more question if u don't mind,

do i HAVE to burn gamecube isos on mini dvds, or can i use regular, and i use mini dvd DASH R right Dvd-R mini dvds

or can i use regular DVD-r?

and, can u recommend a good external hard drive to use for the wii

i don't want 2 buy the wrong one
