  • That is a spoof. There is no 128' pipe in any pipe organ anywhere. The Atlantic City Midmer Losh has a full length 64' pipe as does the William Hill and .Son organ in Town Hall, Sidney.

  • Does the 64 Dulzian have its own wind supply? When the stop went down I could here it.

I take it if I were to be in the same room as the 64 division and someone were to use it at that time my ear drums would pop right?

  • The Midmer Losh 64' does not have its own wind supply. It is on 35 inches. No, your ear drums will not pop when the 64' is used.

  • But the Grand Ophilicide can right?

  • The GO can definitely do some damage to your hearing, it is the loudest organ voice on the planet. Hearing protection is used if you are in the pipe chamber and it is in use. It is on 100 inches of wind pressure.

  • I believe this pipe organ needs to be fully restored and preserved. It should be declared a national landmark and national treasure and steps need to be taken to make this mighty organ fully functional and to be sure that it remains so for generations to come. Local, State, and (maybe) Federal governments as well as some rich benefactors need to invest their monies, time, and resources necessary to fully restore and preserve this magnificent instrument and national landmark and treasure.

  • Push in all expression pedals and make Boardwalk fall, man! XD

  • Organists are the most insane musicians in the world!! Death metal isn't even as heavy as this. Why not use the 2048' stop? I'm surprised their aren't more children horrified to go to church on Sunday!

  • Sounds like a Gardner-Denver compressor on a diesel locomotive.

  • @midmer455 Yes, but when the 64' Dulzian is combined with the 42 1/3' mutation stop, isn't a 128' stop simulated?

  • How did you film this? Did you just take off the side of the pipe?

  • As I heared it I was so scarred, that I thought an earthquake began O_o

  • lol I had a dream a few nights ago that I was at some kind of church on an organ tour and the organ had a pipe double the size of the resultant 128 of the 64 and 42, I dont remember if it was a digital simulated or a real one in my dream, that would be real loww though if there were, lol.

  • Wow...a sound of about 7.75 Hz! If one uses the 64' and 42-2/3' stops together to get the 128' resultant (3.87 Hz), like '3dwurli' said, one would feel rather than hear the pitch of the resultant and hear only the overtones. Most human beings cannot hear frequencies below about 12 Hz and fewer still can hear only down to about 7-to-8 Hz at their lowest.

  • @3dwurli : That's what I originally meant... mix up on my part!

  • @tompw3141 no, you would have to use the 42 2/3 and the 64ft of the Dulzian to get the 128ft resultant
