BERLIN 09.10.2009 Video von Deutschlands höchstem Bauwerk , dem 40 Jahre alten Berliner Fernsehturm - Blick auf die Fernsehturmkugel im Zentrum der deutschen Hauptstadt. Der Berliner Fernsehturm ist mit 368 Meter das höchste Bauwerk Deutschlands und das vierthöchste nicht abgespannte Bauwerk Europas. Er wurde im historischen Zentrum Berlins im Ortsteil Mitte (Bezirk Mitte) direkt neben der mittelalterlichen Marienkirche in Nachbarschaft zum Roten Rathaus und unmittelbar westlich des Alexanderplatzes errichtet. Betreiber und Eigentümer der Anlage ist die Deutsche Funkturm GmbH (DFMG), ein Tochterunternehmen der Deutschen Telekom AG. View of the Berlin TV Tower

The Berlin Stadtschloß was destroyed by the GDR, while nothing important was demolished for the Fernsehturm. It's a useful and beloved building, different to the Palast der Republik.

I was one of the first tourists to go up to the top of this tv tower which was built by the then East Germans.Great views, great city. i have visited often ,have good friends there.Pity the Palace of the Republic was pulled down ,yet u kept the communnist tv tower??double standards???
