These are recurring problems with my Saab 9-3. I've had it in the shop 15+ times for these same problems and they have not yet been resolved.

  • My 9-3 is getting the stability control failure too only my speedometer is working. I wonder what could it be. How much does a new PCM cost?

  • Havent had the error since they replaced the sensors in the wheels. It was covered under warranty.

  • Perhaps you have a faulty PCM or other control module(s)?

I'm no saab genius but those problems are usually related to control module faults in a lot of other GM cars.

If its intermittent it could be corrosion on the connections on the control module(s) that are responsible for your ride control.

Have saab look at those areas first.

In my experience dealerships are very half-ass when it comes to locating electrical problems like these.

  • Thanks for the heads up. I've got an appointment next week, for the same problem, I'll make sure they check that out. Thankfully I'm within 6 months of no longer being upside down on the car!

  • Replaced the PCM, only took Saab three years to get that figured out! Thanks for the info.

  • Ok man, 15+ times you have BEEN TO THE DEALER "FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS" Have you heard of the Lemon Law?

  • Contact Saab customer care and make sure you are reporting it. So far they have been more than willing to take a look at it over and over, but the problem never gets fixed. Now that it's winter, having the traction control go out in the snow is quite dangerous, and has already almost gotten me in several accidents.

  • Dude you can probably get away with speeding. "But officer, my speedo said I was going 0 mph."

  • Probably a bit late now, but..........Stability failures do flag up from time to time, and clear. no speedo means you have a duff ABS sensor somewhere, usually front nearside. HTH

  • change your fuse i had the same thing happen to mine

Well, they can suit themselves. No company with half a brain would have thought getting bought by GM was a good idea in the late 80's or early 90's, but it seems nobody else wanted to buy Saab. I believe Saab was desperate. In fact if not for GM, Saab would have gone out of business long ago, but also thanks to them it almost became a Saab badged Opel, made from cheap GM parts and using very little input from Saab themselves.

    Hope Spyker can save them.

  • Stop crying and get a better car if you've had so many problems!

  • dam same is happenening to my moms but all the safety shit like tcs stm and abs just stopped working the speedo works tho

  • SAAB =PROBLEMS IN TID
