Let's Play Silent Hill - Pt 21 - Rescues and Rush Jobs

As we finally get out of the sewers, we find ourselves in the Resort Area of Silent Hill. We also catch up with our wonderful conversationalist friend, Dr. Kauffman. It seems he hasn't had much better luck than we have. Worse, in fact, if what he's going through when we find him is any indication. I was going to stop there, but when I started editting the vids together, it ended up pretty short. Thus I decided to try to rush to the next save point in four minutes. Surprisingly, I managed it, and here are the results of my effort.

What do you do during save breaks?

I usually get a drink and let the recently recorded footage process on my computer. I then review it to make sure it recorded correctly without audio glitching, and if it did, I save that and save my game, as I can then officially move on.

How can Harry not think a pool cue is helpful? Let's go McGuyver here since structural damage to weapons is apparently non-existant.

Pool Cue + Hand Axe = Makeshift Glaive

Pool Cue + Kitchen Knife = Makeshift Spear

That freaking thing can cure the horrible range on two of his weapons! And they'd be faster than the hammer and pipe due to the aerodynamics on a pool cue.

Harry isn't thinking outside the box enough yet. Improvise, man, improvise!

Aye, that was one thing I really liked about David from Resident Evil : Outbreak, the fact that he could take other items, less useful weapons, and make awesome weapons from them. My personal favorite was combining a pipe and a battery to make a stun rod.

No one wants to question how the hell Kaufman got there first if the roads are out and the only entrance was the sewers? Which was all locked up when Harry got there?

Dude can fucking teleport?! He, like all other NPCs, has plot device teleportation. And can any of them use that for something useful like, say, giving Harry good equipment, health drinks, or the like? Noooooo.

I know the curse of Silent Hill. Retarded NPC Syndrome!
