Zorch - Mother Earth from the album "Ouroboros" (1975)
Zorch were the UK's first "all synthesiser" band. Their live shows combined psychedelic electronic music with a mind blowing lightshow. Appearing at Stonehenge and other early free festivals, those who saw them play never forgot the experience. This is the only album ever recorded at Peter Zinovieff's EMS studio and features the classic analogue Synthi 100. Wonderful mindblowing synth textures in early Tangerine Dream / Klaus Schulze vein!
"I left my mind somewhere last night... and Zorch are welcome to it" - Melody Maker, January 1975 .
I saw Zorch at the Ilkeston Coop 1975/6. My friend had a bootleg cassette recording which was incredibly atmospheric. I am desperate to get a copy of this music..
