When I appeared on Today Tonight to talk about my case against the National Australia Bank I wasn't allowed to say anything important for 'legal reasons', Channel 7 was worried about being in trouble with the bank obviously - it was a couple of weeks after taping before they aired the show. I didn't get to say what the bank manager & his cohorts did to make sure the loan was approved, I didn't get to say anything at all. Not about the bullying, intimidation and general stress inducing activities indulged in by the National Australia Bank to make sure they broke me so I would be like everybody else and quietly walk away. This show was aired last year and the bank finally got possession in March this year. They almost had me beaten, almost, but I know what they did, I know how they did it, I hung in long enough for a few people to come forward and let me know some of their nasty habits. I finally got brave enough to read some of the documents the bank had to supply for Summary Judgment and it is all there, in black and white, in their own words. We could not afford this loan but a 'secondary exit' was for us to sell everything to pay back the bank. That was never discussed or agreed to in the loan application (which makes for a very interesting read for the liberties the bankers took with the truth).
