La parution de ce disque Duetti est aujourd'hui l'occasion de réunir à nouveau cette dream team baroque : William Christie dirige avec un raffinement inouï Philippe Jaroussky et Max Emmanuel Cencic dans ce programme de duos du XVIIIe siècle.
Les deux contre-ténors ressuscitent ainsi l'âge d'or des cercles aristocratiques italiens où furent créées nombre de ces pièces aussi virtuoses que sensuelles.
La voix de cristal de Philippe, conjuguée à celle, plus sombre, de Max Emanuel Cencic offre un résultat somptueux, capiteux et troublant.

Face it: just because you don't find a certain voice to your taste doesn't mean you're a better judge of voices than Andreas Scholl, William Christie, Max Cencic, Paul O'Dette, Christine Pluhar, and plenty of other professionals who line up to work with Jaroussky.

@skitzo429 - ah, you've serenaluce.  S/he trolls every single Jaroussky video claiming he's miked, occasionally with homophobic comments about his "manicured female fingers." I've tried pointing out that Jaroussky being a pop singer would require that the cream of the early music world be in on the fraud, not that it does any good. Even saying that I've seen him live and he was definitely *not* miked hasn't changed her opinion.

Conclusion: she's a troll. Ignore her.
