  • Greetings!

I enjoy your videos and i'm doing experiments myself.

I've ruined 2 of the degaussing coils while unraveling it.

do you have a method that is sure fire?

  • awesome tear-down / reclamation of parts video! Thanks for pointing out the danger zones, it what has keep me from digging in monitors for years!

  • awsome teardown/ reclamation of parts vid!

  • @ 8:45 DaftMan, you mention the coil offset, trying to gain momentum, we were discussing that on TEEP and were wondering if you had a technical reasoning behind this offset, such as WHY it gains speed?

    TIA,

    Rob

  • EXCELLENT!

Have you un-wound any of the main CRT coils DaftMan?

I have one of those and it has lots of good coil wire in there, relatively large gauge.

    On to part 2!

  • Thanks Daftman,

I have a monitor I've been ripping apart.

I recovered the magnet wire in that harness.

    Thats a lot of wire!

I plan to use it for a replication of your squirel cage generator.

I think I got enough for the first phase.

    Eddie
