I'm guessing from the orientation of the locomotive and the lack of foliage on the trees that this was an inbound morning train during the winter...correct???
PS, cool video :)

It's like the Turtle and Hare. The SRT is the Hare, he's smaller so he doesn't have to carry that much weight as the Turtle (GO train). But the SRT makes way too many stops (to pick up customers) so he reaches the finish line at Kennedy station later than the GO TRAIN. GO train wins for sure!

And the winner is...SRT !!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !!!!

I thought I saw someone in the GO train Filming the SRT

@SharkRetriver The GO Stouffville line is next to Kennedy, Lawrence East and Ellesmere stations, but the GO trains only stop at Kennedy.
-
@SharkRetriver Only Kennedy
-
What stations of the SRT have Go Train next to it?

I think i was on the SRT at that time and believe I placed a bet with someone to see what would win

Well, the GO train does travel a bit slower than the VIA.
I always wondered, what makes that unique acceleration sound for the RT? Does it have to do with the induction motors?
