Here's the eighth and last Robot Master I faced. Onwards, to Dr. Wily's Fortress!
I find it funny that in the game itself, Tornado Man looks squat and chubby, but in the artwork, Tornado Man is actually tall and lanky. Boy, what a difference that makes! Now, you're probably wondering--what does Dr. Light need with a robot that makes tornadoes? How can he possibly benefit the world by causing them? Well, it turns out that he works at a weather institute and creates tornadoes to soften the blows of hurricanes. Pretty noble.
And a weather institute seems to be the theme of this place. Mega Man travels from sunny conditions through a glass skyscraper with solar panels around, to a snowy place with slick platforms, to a torrent, the rain pushing against Mega Man in one portion and then with him the next. This is definitely one of the harder stages, since precisely timed jumps is not enough when the wind is constantly blowing Mega Man in a certain direction. On another note, those hot air balloon robots are adorable. The music also occasionally makes me think of Snowboard Kids.
Tornado Man was definitely someone I could approach with just the Mega Buster and no Energy Tanks. The spikes on the ceiling don't serve much of a purpose, since Mega Man can't really jump that high (I think), and the tornadoes don't blow him upwards but just straight up damages him. Mega Man doesn't take too much damage from the tornadoes, making Tornado Man one of the easier Robot Masters in this game. Of course, everything's relative, and he's still as hard as nails. So now, I can properly rank the Robot Masters in difficulty for me, from easiest to hardest, and that would be:
Galaxy Man
Jewel Man
Splash Woman
Tornado Man
Concrete Man
Magma Man
Hornet Man
Plug Man
my list from eaziest to hardest:
Galaxy Man (too eazy to dodge)
Splash Woman (eazy, simple to shot down the fishes etc)
Hornet Man (i dont see why Overhazard thinks it his 2nd hardest.. its eazy to shoot the bees)
Concrete Man (not that hard)
Jewel Man (this one it begins to get tougher, takes awhile to figure his pattern)
Tornado Man (can be hard to dodge the tornados)
Plug Man (also hard to dodge, esp with tha terrains)
Magma Man (hardest in MM9, very hard to dodge when he gets close u!)

The Rush Jet comes after you've beaten four Robot Masters.
You spend screws in the shop. On the main menu, there's something you can select just below Magma Man.
