  • The armies look to be more the size of DBA armies which surprised me considering how much bigger FoG starter armies are. How big are your armies? Did you change the scale of the units?

LOL so many questions. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed the music.

  • @colddrake80 Well it was a while back now, but I think at the time we had just barely enough troops to meet the minimum requirements for each army.

  • @dbrecht Thanks for the reply. I have FoG - somewhere - what turns me off is the need for so many miniature. Dozens and hundreds of minis. With all my DBA armies combined I probably would have enough bases painted for one FoG army. However the sheer size of the battles does call to me. It also strikes me as a more historically accurate game which has it's appeal as well.

  • @colddrake80 I thought FOG was pretty fun and it feels more like a historical battle than DBA. The painting can be a chore. I think painting my 200+ gauls put me off painting 15mm figs. My little group got into 40K so that's what I've been doing lately. The next historical game I want to do is LaSalle, but after painting three battalions of french line I got burned out again. One short cut if you've got the cash is to look for painted armies on ebay. Sometimes you can find a good deal.

  • Great battle report!

  • @dbrecht Oh, I wish I could afford to buy armies. Still I may have to just suck it up some day and pick a relativity small starter army and get to work. As for scale I was considering going down to 6mm as a cost cutting measure.
