Putting foundation on dry skin. I hope this helps because this is something I've always had an issue with and I have yet to find a helpful video on it. Sorry if I look like a goof, this is my first one, I hope they'll get better with practice.

If you have any requests for a look or a technique you would like to see done, please let me know :)

  • Well, this really helped me lol i've been complaining about finding the right foundation or ways to help my dry skin for like months.. and i think i finally did.

So, thank you soo much :DDDDD

And, what brand do you use for powder?

    i need new powder xP

  • @AkiAme0 I use L'oreal's true match super-blendable powder.

  • I have 3 ?'s First, can u use a primer or base b4 makeup? Second, what if u use a brush to stipple the foundation on? And third, isn't powder bad for dry skin, wont it make your face even more drying?

  • @mrsalsaidi2008 You can use a primer, but the whole idea of using a moisturizer is to prevent your skin from drying out. It acts the same way as any primer. Yes, a stippling brush can be used, it works just as well. The powder won't dry out your skin, it locks the liquid foundation in place and soaks up any extra grease that wasn't absorbed by your face so that you don't look shiny by the end of the day.

  • what if I cant use the skin on my neck, do u know anywhere else I can use to match my foundation. Im really bad at it.

  • @Ayohima use the skin on your chest. :)

  • you kind of sound like miley cyrus, only a little higher pitch, no offense.. just reminded me of that.

  • She must not have EXTREMELY dry skin that cracks, peels, and makeup seeps into. Because I can't use a compact pad for moisturizer or ANY kind of powder because powder takes tha little bit of moisture that i can keep on my skin out. And I would take greesy lookin skin over tha way that my skin is anyday.

  • hey guys check out my video for foundations for dry skin xxx

  • Will it matter if i apply my foundation with my fingers/hands? I find that i get it to blend better

  • omg i no how you feel wen i put on foundation it goes all cracked within the hour!! its soooo anoyin ahh!!!! even wen i put a real rich mouistrizer on or vaseline still it goes cracked!! uuugghhhhh sooo annoying !! i HATE HAVEING DRY SKIN!!!

  • @LysippeLee Mineral oil is almost the same as petroleum jelly and it is in EVERYTHING. I would wager almost everyone uses it almost every day. The thought of it seems kind of scary but it's not so bad. The bad part is that those things lock in moisture but don't actually provide any moisture - so if there is no moisture you are locking in nothing and it is pointless.

  • You remind meof Dory off Finding Nemo :D <3 it's cute.

  • sorry, actually something else I've heard recently is un-pretroleum jelly. sounds funny, but, pretroleum jelly is a great moisterizer (think night time cream) but pretroleum jelly is actually the by-product of when they make oil or gas and un-pretrolem is made from plants.
