Thanks manel for the nice comment, I saw yr upload about Gration's departure, he was one of my best friends, his son and my son were in the same grade at St Joseph's. I adviced him so much just before I left SL. But you cannot go against destiny. He had a powerful voice and 2nd only to Jothi.

When you look at Sanath Gunatileke, you can see Gration in him.

Talented Gration covered all for Sanath.

We have played for many song recordings together from 70's. RIP dear Gration.

I saw the background music recording during 72 or 73 at Vijaya Studios. I was in my teens at that time. But for sure it was released early 70's.

Tony Hassan too sang his debut in this movie a duet with Anjaline, Vijaya Shyama Algama acted for the song. "NILAMBARE HANGUM DI DI".

The Film was a hit, and all songs were hits, with some cover versions.

HONDAMA WELAWA Haondayi Narakayi Hondata Hondayi were three movies release successively in Cinemas circuit. Interesting all 3 had Gamini, Malini in the lead Shows their dominance that no other leading pair even had in SInhala cinema. Out of three this was the best (As far as I remember) Someone said at that time the story is the same as "Himmat" - I haven't seen it and the DVD is not available for purchase. If anyone see HImmat DVD pl. buzz me and

You are great, and more over my time fans, This was done by Sarath Neils brother, His 2nd Production after Edath Sooraya, They were both David Rupasinghe's son's,

Kumar was the eldest. Neil was the 3rd son who produced "Dan mathakada" as his 1st production for Samudra films and the 2nd was "Hatharadenama Soorayo". The song "Mey Nona was a treat with Ronald Fdo and clan doing the club style, all were Lenins mastermind and natural hits during the 70's. rgds

Dear Palitha,

Great song and one of my favorites when the film was released. Was this produced by Neil cause something tells me that it was his bro Sarath ??? The other songs I remember in this movie are " 'Diwa Rey Dekei ' (Tune: Rafi's Gulabi Ankhen' from 'The Train') and "Mey Nona Mey Nona'. All the stars who acted in 'Adara Hithanawa Dekkama' acted in this movie.
