The first says that divorce is never permissible, while the second says that it is permissible only in the instance of marital unfaithfulness. Now, if they're both the word of God, but mutually exclusive, then one of them is a lie, which means God is a liar and not perfect.
Jesus' mission was to fulfill the Law for man. In Deut. 24 we see what part of the law was around divorce. Matthew shows Jesus addressing two schools of thought with the Jews. One was divorce for any reason, the other for uncleanliness (adultery). Jesus confirmed it here as the Pharisees tried to trick Him. In Luke as well as Mark. this would have been presupposed. Matthew was simply going more in depth and addressing the issue. No contradiction.
This is the epidomy of nay-sayers. YOU haven't read the Bible. You're spoon-fed info from others & the "Skeptics Annotated bible" That's where most free-thinkers that can't think for themself get info. Come up with something new on your own okay? Answers are there, it's just whether you can think enough to get past your delusion. You obviously didn't see the other videos, nor the 24 listed on my site. More are coming so true seekers can overcome the spoon-fed lies like yours.
If you are actually saying that there are no contradictions in the bible, you've neither read the old testament, nor the four gospels of the new testament. Or, I guess you could have read them, but have decided to lie through your teeth to protect your belief system -- because the alternative is too hard for you to deal with.
But claiming such things puts you on the fringe of your belief -- and makes no one else hungry for the delusions you hold.
Let me direct your attention to your Bible.
Specifically, to Luke 16:18 and Matthew 5:31-32.
The first says that divorce is never permissible, while the second says that it is permissible only in the instance of marital unfaithfulness. Now, if they're both the word of God, but mutually exclusive, then one of them is a lie, which means God is a liar and not perfect.
