A variety of birds and some of their hovering techniques.

In order:
common kestrel
hen harrier (northern harrier)
common buzzard
sparrowhawk

The kestrel is the master of the hover, but the sparrowhawk, with its shortish wings, struggles with this unfamiliar flight method.

  • Amazing footage mate that sparrowhawk and kestrel footage was amazing . I was under the impression sparrowhawks didn`t hover who knew lol . What gear did you use for the footage .
