Dr Marios Kyriazis is the medical advisor to the British Longevity Society, a non-profit society founded in 1992 created for people who want to live a longer, healthier life. Dr Kyriazis holds an MD, MSc (Gerontology), Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (Royal College of Physicians), MIBiol, and CBiol. He has written extensively on healthy ageing, longevity, biology of ageing and other related subjects.

This talk will discuss human evolution, brain development, cutting-edge developments in biomedicine, DNA changes, hormesis and how all of these fit together suggesting that further interventions for increasing lifespan dramatically are possible. Beyond the biochemical possibilities the lecture will also touch on the social and historical implications.
