  • You can forget about the soul and spirit of the day when this was the jam. Its gone. Theres an essence thats been wiped away forever and I pray it will resurge but I just dont see it happening. No the music is not to loud, no we didnt get older or lost the passion, something died and hasnt come back. And the youth are more lost, getting A's when they should be given an F, everyone is told they are great, its sad. But this groove and the memory of it are not.

  • @thelovejones2008, wow right on i use to go to 3 eye shrimp back in late 70's & early 80's 117 & lenox av, (i am not sure) but i remember the spiral staircase, & oh "in the projects" we might have been poor, but we vacation was the music/parties. I use to party in basement brownstones on 127th & madison av. wow how the years have passed us by...

  • @discolarry124 Foster Projects aka Martin Luther King Towers (115 Lenox round da corner from the old Harlem World). also represent Bed Stuy (right down the block form Divine Sounds @Lafayette Park)

  • Rolling on the floor with your best moves......Foxtrappe, Tiffanies, RSVP, Raphael's, Hogates, The Crosstown, The Black Hole, Season's, The Quonset Hut and those hot house parties................only in Washington, D.C. The best Club Town ever in the '80's and '90's.

  • Kashif was a hot commodity back around this time. I remember spinning this at dorm parties at Stanford University back in 1982.

  • Bring back this music. Some one wrote that they'd pay money to go back for a day. I say I'd pay for a weekend in L.A. in the mid to late 80's. The Quiet Cannon, Pepper's The Hop. DQ's Tommy's King Taco and that Hot Taco Truck on Beverly. After Hours Parties in the Hood. Yea Baby Whittier in the House. I miss L.A. in the summer.

  • @777Madukes OK WE GOT 'LINCOLN PROJECTS" are now in the house, right on my brother, so sadd and so very very true, 'some" music today is just horrible, call the women a B, promote killing, talk abt killing, We all know what is happening but it is not good to promote that cause OUR young kids hear the bad words, and if i said the B word in front of my momma, my teeth would not be in the same room as my mouth!. ok so we got Lincoln Projects in the house. who is next? stay positive.
