Tab and Jam tracks available for free at http://www.activemelody.com - In this lesson I demonstrate how to play a driving blues / rock rhythm guitar part. I used an electric guitar for this demonstration, however, this could also be played on an acoustic guitar.

  • Thanks SaskStrum - I made this one based on your comment on their being a lack of good rhythm guitar lessons out there and I have to say you're right! - I'll be posting the tab and jam track on activemelody later this evening.

  • its never been a better time to learn guitar, its up to your imagination!!!!!

  • are you using the POD?

  • nicely taught lesson, thank you

  • you knw u should reduce the theory but add more of the practicals caz its like ur sitting in class, it would make it more interesting,

  • @textgorr1 1952 Telecaster, not an original 1952, it's a replica

  • Thanks, nice one and specially the way you have cleared it.

  • sometimes the simple things are the best, brian keep on keepn on brother

  • Your playing and teaching are fantastic. Your lessons are very usefull!

  • Your ability to teach needs to be commended. I've played for quite a few years by myself, and often needed that little bit more to be explained. Something as simple as that very last lick being explained in detail was a big help.

Lead playing is always out front in instructional videos on youtube, but I've always wanted to be a better rhythm player. Your videos have been helpful and much needed on youtube. I hope you continue to do more on this rhythm subject. cheers
