@MrTubeyWoobey That might be the most Brilliant comment I've red on Youtube! Especially the "People's Republic of Hiss"!! Love it! I don't know much about these pedals, that's why I'm trying to learn from these videos, but that comment is CLASSIC!
Wow! Why are people so mean spirited? If you know anything about compression or using a compressor/sustainer pedal, you'd know that it any noise present is going to be increased. You don't get something for nothing. In return you get longer sustain, and an evening of the string volume across the neck. It has nothing to do with playing your guitar properly. Maybe before you comment you should know what your talking about first. Its not normally a defect of the pedal.
I think you have bad lighting, a bad ground, or you're demoing with a strat set on one coil. Too many people are making rash and quick judgments on the pedal's noise without thinking. I noticed that at the end there's no hiss. Not even Behringer's $20 pedals make noise.
you absolute retards. "If you hit it hard then it gets louder almost distorts" that's called playing using dynamics. Unless you are changing styles (pick to finger, slap to finger whatever) don't bother getting this and just learn how to play the instrument properly.
@proctor940 theres a button at the bottom towards the middle. You just give that a tap and you are good. weather you want to step on the whole pedal with your foot or use the ball of your foot to do so is your choice. I recommend using the ball of your foot lol.
Who kicks on a pedal with their heel? Das weird, yo.

Gee ..
"Studio quality"? (as it says in the vid)
Maybe at Hiss Studios
Hiss Avenue
Hissville
Peoples Republic of Hiss.
'Boutique Quality'? (as it says in the blurb up there)
Some (all?) of these Modtones are repackaged Belcat pedals (half the price) and , I suspect , are not all true True-Bypass.
Not very 'Boooteek' really
I like good cheap pedals, but the Mod-Tone stuff smells of too much snake-oil

Can you click it with the ball of your foot or do you have to step on the whole thing? 8)
