@Jeffspiers You would need to use a different pc to download and burn a copy of the update software to a disk, and then boot the disk in whatever computer the ssd is in (does not need to have a copy of windows on it), in fact, it will update the firmware much more quickly if the drive is empty.

This is a really awesome product. Just make sure too update it too the latest firmware BEFORE you install windows.
