  • yea isn't that mochi.. time to change the name! :D

  • Dough pounding! x'D

  • @TachieBillano It would definately would be worth it!!!!!!! Thank you for your explination, thats very nice of you!

  • @ambarmarr1: Yup, it is. To get an idea of mochi's texture, imagine, if you can, putting together the softness and sweetness of uncooked cookie dough, the fluffiness and starchiness of mashed potatoes, and the chewy "stretchiness" of cooked mozarella cheese. Hard to describe, really! But I once tried a dark chocolate flavored mochi, and nearly melted in my shoes with delight. But they're on the expensive side. I guess you pay for all that pounding!

  • @TachieBillano WOW sounds delicious

  • @jeroenvroom: Hee hee. I can't imagine making French batards this way, though.

  • @ambarmarr1: It's actually mochi, a soft sweet dough made with sticky rice that's been soaked, ground and (yes) pounded to death. Really delicious, lovely stuff. Unbelievably soft in the mouth. Grr, I want some.
