  • I didn't judge people on their color until I was 20 y.o. when I moved to virginia.I lived in oklahoma where blacks where educated and nice. I thought they were like everyone else. I didn't notice color. Then i moved to virginia. I noticed most blacks where rude loud and inconsiderate. Oh, and racist toward whites. Blacks basically taught me how to be racist against them.

  • @iamopinionated123 I have been on the East coast myself and it is a culture shock for someone raised in the west

  • Not much. A lot more work needs to be done.

The speech is more about rich and poor rather than race.

The way we are going we will be the next 3rd World.

  • I don't think we will be a third world. We have great industry and resources.

  • Denny's is racist?!

  • Just do a google search and see how many times Denny's has been sued for not serving blacks.

  • His dream has come true. Blacks are being treated based on their character. His dream was to have his daughters be treated based on their character. Blacks are treated based on their character.

  • time will heal all

  • i have a feeling things are gonna get better in terms of racism and all that.. dunno why.. just do.. o.o

  • We are probably as close as we'll ever get. The simple fact of life, is that there are visible and audible identifiers that mark every single one of us, and someone else is bound to find one or more of those identifiers to be either objectionable, or worthy of some type of obsession. They may even harbor a deep hatred towards them for some unfathomable reason. These are just inescapable facts of life, brought about by the complexities of human nature.

  • I think we're still generations away from the Doctor's dream being fulfilled. We've made progress, absolutely, but racism and bigotry still thrive, mainly in the south, but also in urban areas. Segregation is prominent, and in some cases it's self inflicted.

Dr King would be pleased with how far we've come, but he would NOT be thrilled. He'd see much more work to be done.

  • racism + ignorance is still alive and thriving unfortunately ..among people of all skin colours and nationalities

will it go away? i doubt it,but who knows?

  • ...Intended or not
