He had a hostage & was holding the gun to his head. Why the hell would they jump in and risk another persons life (including their own). Metal heads aren't fucking invincible.

@MrKirkenstein Maybe because they don't want a bullet through the face or abdomen, as would most likely happen if a gunman started firing wildly at people trying to take him down.
