Here are the last 16 microgames from Design Challenge #4. The gimmick here is that you must use the feature that gives your microgame one of a whole bunch of premade titles, randomly designated. As a result, some microgames here have repeated names. You'll find a lot of them coincide with other microgames in this respect.

I didn't do quite as well here as I did in part 2.

1. "It's ART!" from Red: This microgame requires too many clicks on the canvas to finish. While the drawings themselves are quite creative, it doesn't seem like you're given quite enough time to finish, even under the slowest speed.

2. "Type of Love" from Filby-J: Here's a pretty creative interpretation of the name. It's the letters sort of type, not the categories sort. That and all of the words contain L-O-V-E in that order (but not necessarily consecutively). However, a problem shows up when I tried to play this: later in the video, I can't seem to click on the "A" due to me clicking within the triangular hole in the letter, which doesn't count as part of the object and thus doesn't get registered by the game.

3. "Chiropractor" from RJS: The artwork here is awesome, but I really wish all of the vertebrae would fix with one click. Again, there's not enough time to finish this. This would have benefited greatly if it were a long microgame.

4. "Signed Ball" from Jprogram: This microgame is interesting in that there's a cut from the baseball game to the ball flying. These take up a LOT of object points (when you run out of points, you can't make any more objects or frames for objects). A full frame consists of 96 points out of the allotted 256. Most microgames need most of the allotted points for them to work.

5. "Dull Gum" from Scott: This one has a nice sense of humor. I can be like Dull Gum sometimes with friends.

6. "Best RPG" from GEMprince: The music here is delicious. It sounds just like all those gothic-looking games from the NES era, particularly the Castlevanias. By the way, any of the characters will work. It also looks quite authentic...well, the animation needs work.

7. "Bucket Relay" from Penduin: You may have seen Bucket Relay in the second part of the Design Challenge. Here are a quarte of buckets actually running a relay. Sorry for not showing the full ending the first time. This one is very funny to look at.

8. "Memory Check" from A47A47: This can be pretty hard to keep track of. It's like a shell game, except more difficult. What I do is keep track of two shapes and their colors at once. (These shapes can be different colors, by the way.)

9. "It's ART!" from BEN: Here is an art-themed microgame from a different perspective. Red's was from the artist, and now you are a museum patron. You need to identify the painting. They're all very different, so it works out. (Oddly, "painting" is spelled wrong. I can only hope it was a typo.)

10. "Meat Country" from Dutchin: Shouldn't the cow be feeling kind of scared that steaks are falling from the sky and getting cooked? By the way, you need to roast the meat while it's falling, not when it lands. Also, are these characters from anywhere in particular? They look like they're part of some webcomic somewhere.

11. "Magic Carpet" from Brian: This one refers to Pidgit's flying carpet from Doki Doki Panic. Pretty neat microgame, like a horizontal, non-scrolling version of Stair Bear. There's a bit of discord in the music about 2/3 through though.

12. "Want Candy?" from REDDOGinc: It was hard for me to figure out what the thought bubble read at first. A2 didn't look like a bag of candies to me, and it still doesn't. It just looks like a particularly colorful bag.

13. "Magic Carpet" from TPG: This must be some sort of magic carpet battle or something, since your goal is to knock the other riders off their carpets and they're going the other direction.

14. "3-Step Quiz" from Ash: I liked the previous 3-Star Quiz better. It was funnier.

15. "Chomp Fest" from Peach: This actually showed up on a previous Showcase video somewhere. I can't quite recall where though...I could've sworn I've played this one before too.

16. "Free Time" by cravipat: Nope, this has nothing to do with when you have nothing to do. You need to select the clock that's free. Pretty clever.

  • I wanna play that game. It looks fun.

  • @bubblesishot46853 Sorry, no. I haven't played this game in a while, a lot of my friends also became inactive, and I don't have wi-fi access anymore.

  • @strongo25

cool! it's just that one note that bugged me, but everything else is awesome! I did a similar one with Sonic CD. Have you seen it?

  • @bubblesishot46853 It's fine with me. That's why I keep the games unlocked. I hope you enjoy it.

  • Mine is the Super Mario Bros. 2 themed Magic Carpet game. It makes me happy to know that hundreds of people have seen and played my game. Also, I found the error in the music shortly it won the contest. I put just one not in the wrong spot. I guess you guys have the rare, imperfect version.

  • "Chiropractor" reminds me of that one microgame in WarioWare: Twisted where you have to align Wario's spine.

  • @heartgoldify b happy, my mom doesnt play (NEVER EVER, she thinks too much action >_<) at all!

  • Congrats to the winners! Also, thanks for providing a high-quality recording of my Themesoft microgame. I really appreciate it! ^.^

  • @heartgoldify XD

  • That "Best RPG" microgame made me think of ideas for an RPG game that's a hodgepodge of RPG ideas (with character types like Paladin, Black Knight, Thief, Samurai, Monster-Taming Boy, Magical Girl, Commando, etc.), and parodies various real-life RPGs (like World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy, Pokémon, Earthbound, and Star Wars KOTOR to name a few) and online gaming (especially MMORPG gaming) in general. The name that I have for it so far is "The Ultimate RPG".
