DJ Maximillion Fothersgill (AKA Lord Fothersgill of Kent) is a DJ that combines swing time music and hip hop with lashings of turntablist scratching!
'Fothersgill' is what a hip-hop DJ would sound like in the swing era... a 1930's turntablist, if you will!

A master at blending original swing songs into hip hop beats and accapellas into his own compositions, whilst a purveyor of the best in Electro swing,' Maximillion Fothersgill", always in fine English country clothing will perform a serious of dashing mixes and scratch routines as only "Fothersgill" can, which is sure to make any tea dance worth its salt ,really hop !
"Maximillion Fothersgill" is an alter ego of artist/DJ 'Joe2Grand"- known for being a pioneer of the Trip Hop genre, signed early to 'Mo Wax' Records' and appearing on compilations and performing alongside DJ Shadow and DJ Krush ('Headz' + " Royalties Overdue" and tour) through the 1990's. Joe has toured the world, performing as a world class scratch DJ under his recording artist names of 'R.P.M' (Mo ' Wax) and 'RunawaysUK' (Ultimate Dilemma/360 Records)

Joe has also co written, remixed, produced and scratched on various different artists inc Groove Armada,DJ Skitz (Double Reds),Us3,Emiliana Torrini and written music for TV and film. His recent work has included music and turntable performances for TV comedian "Lee Nelson" as part of his tours. He is also a scratch DJ teacher at London School Of Sound and Studio2 in Norway.
