  • I'm sure the ending news theme of this bulletin would scare little children

  • Always good to see bent coppers getting what they deserve. Nothing worse than a bent copper.

  • her hair is a cheeky mad

  • 21 years later in 2009, and Sally Taylor is still presenting South Today.

  • The studio Sally is in was actually so small the camera was shooting through a door half-way in a corridor!

  • What on earth is Ian doing at the end with the weather? Can he not pronounce place names? "etht-bo-yawn" for Eastbourne and "louvere stoft" for Lowesoft.

  • Thatcher's invocation of the Bible certainly angered the (strongly Christian Socialist) minister in the Methodist church I was brought up in, and I think rightly so.

I suspect that escaped prisoner here on Portland was also reported on Spotlight South West.
