It seems simple, two people talking in a TV Studio. But behind the scenes of Larry King Live it took a staff of over 30 people to make the magic happen. For 11 years, I was just one cog in the Larry King machine. This video looks at a typical day behind-the-scenes of one of CNN's greatest shows.

Transcript: "For 25 years, Larry King hosted an interview show on CNN. He spoke with thousands of prominent newsmakers and was known for his direct, non-confrontational style. Over 11 years, I edited and produced hundreds of those moments on Larry King Live.

I was hired with no TV experience, and worked my way up from getting Larry's dinner to producing the video for his show.

The majority of my time was spent in a dark windowless edit bay pondering the merits of using a 10 or 15 frame dissolve. On this particular day, a younger, skinnier version of me, circa 2002, was working on an interview with Minnesota Governor Jesse "the body" Ventura.

From Washington, DC, I was editing clips into the show using AVID Media Composer. Then, my supervisor would review my work before I fed the video to Atlanta to add the fonts and graphics.

It was a glamorous life. We had free coffee in the break room. I rode the elevator with Jon Stewart. And, I frequently got to pee in the urinal next to Wolf Blitzer. I met big name people like Clint Eastwood, Mary Tyler Moore, Bill Clinton and that figure skater who liked to break people's legs.

After moving to Ohio, I continued to freelance for the show and even made a brief on-screen appearance in the final episode. Good times."

  • Got hired with no TV experience....ha! Try that today... :(

  • @filmlover0101 I got a lucky break. I'll be the first to admit that. However, I did put in a lot of hard work to inch my way up the ladder.

  • Haha good video release more BBA's!

  • @PopeOnArope123 Right now we have Stone IPA, Natural Light and Newcastle Draughtkeg taped. I haven't edited any of them, but I'm going to edit tomorrow. Which one would you like to see first and why? This is your chance to affect the direction of the BBA.

  • @AgileHProductions Oh, I wasn't trying to bash you or anything :P sorry. I'm happy that you made it!! Your journey is actually really inspirational in my opinion. Kudos to you! :)

  • @AgileHProductions Natural light definitely. I feel like it would be a humorous contrast coming off of rating an expensive and highly esteemed beer such as Chimay , considering Natural light is one of the cheapest and in my opinion worst beers out there. Don't get me wrong I love watching you guys rate craft beers, it's just every once in while it's funny to see you rate a lower end kind like cobra or natural light.
