Roberta Pieczenik's six minute pitch to the Montana Film Office's 2011 Pitch 406 contest to film in Montana. She is competing for a $20,000 prize of film services to create a film trailer for her award-winning screenplay "Without Consent." Based on a true story; Martin Old Dog Cross, a 20th century tribal leader, battles a land-greedy Congress that wants to take his tribe's land to build a dam that would submerge 6 towns, hundreds of thousands of acres of great farmland, and basically "terminate" his tribe.
Good luck, I love true stories. I think they are always more powerful then any fiction no matter now good of a script. Good luck and God Bless

Your project is very very similar to the Polish Brothers film, NORTH FORK, done in 2003,
except it is about families being displaced by the big-bad government building a dam. Polish Brothers already filmed it in Montana. It is surreal, austere and well done.

Very nice pitch Birdie. This is a very compelling story and should be funded and made into a film so we all can learn more about our government's treatment of Native Americans.

Good luck. If the winner is to be determined by number of views, the key is social media: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
