i do this workout all the time i got pretty good size shoulders and i use 20lbs for the first set then drop to 15 but if its your first time doing it then start with 5-10 like he said pretty much everyone has said work on form for a while, good form and proper technique alone will help you to move up to 15lbs....looks like hes got 20lbs on prolly wont see to many people doing this workout with much more than that

I was told to lift both arms at the same time.. Would you say this is better?

what area of the shoulder does this workout? the front, middle, back, or the whole shoulder itself?
-
stress on the trap and neck muscles

I suggest you start with 10, then 15. Once you feel you have mastered that weight. Eventually move on...

how much weight? work with a weight you can do for 10 good reps
if you can get up to 12 on that, then move up
while lifting both arms at the same time, if you are a right handed man, then naturally your body will tend to put greater effort on your right shoulder to pull the weight up. To avoid this, it is done alternately to equally treat both the left and right side.

Why alternate? What's the difference than both at the same time?
