@Vaughanaddict Good though SRV undoubtedly was, you're always going to have difficulty persuading die-hard Buzz Feiten fans that he he has the blend of chops, taste and melody to better our hero!

The song was written by Don Nix, a fellow from Memphis, TN. That’s who song it is………
-
this is SRV'S song! Period!!!!

How come nobody but Freddy King sings the right words to the 2nd verse of this song. Not Butterfield, not BobTench with Jeff Beck, not J.J. Cale. Not even close for any of them. Give me Freddy King's version any day.

Does anybody have the TAB for the guitar intro for this song?
-
That's Bobby Vega on Bass

I really like the drummer, it is Ernest Carter who was with Bruce Springsteen and David Sancious before.
This song was done by The Jeff Beck Group in the 60's. I think the Bass player may be Phil Lynott. It looks like him.

Not Phil Lynott, he is about 6 foot 5 inches or something. This is the Don Nix song, "Goin' Down". Most people associate this with Freddy King. Beck did a version on the Ice Cream Cakes album. Chicken Shack also did a great version on the Imagination Lady album.
