@spori84 He uses deceptive techniques towards the people he reports about.

When approaching his "objects", he doesn't approach them in the fashion of a reporter who upholds a professional critical distance, he instead approaches them in the manner of a friendly and open minded private person. Which he is not.

His selection and presentation of issues/objects is already one which the viewer is supposed to oppose and reject and not to be open minded about.

@sooperfukker why would you say that? could you maybe elaborate a bit? i am asking because i have watched everything louis theroux has made except from "when louis met..." and TV nation (because i actually hate michael moore's guts) and i find him to be everything but deceptive. investigating extreme groups gives space for taking a stance for sure, which might be for some not that journalistic, but why deceptive?
