Jane Franklin Dance 'Incidence' at Mead Theatre Lab at Flashpoint, Washington DC

Incidence follows the non-linear trajectory of chance. With a life size kinetic sculpture by Howard Connelly, dancers respond to the visual appearance of the sculpture and perform the corresponding segment. The piece is never peformed in the same linear order. The dancers alter the shape of the sculpture by changing the position of the pipes, or the vertical or horizontal orientation of the main piece, never knowing who or when the sculpture will be changed.
