Even by the lose of power over the people of communist regime in East Germany, it was actually an accident. The government didn't know about this, that's the reason that the guards didn't shoot the people the day the wall fell. And finally the guards said: open the gates. So the night that changed the world was merely an accident. At the great celebration the people sang folk songs and gave each other gifts. One woman was also said that her daughter of 2 years old even got a banana! Go freedom!

I'm not interested in the politics but this has to be one of the most overrated moments in history, a real damp squib.
