i agree with you entirely about the game modding abilities. thats why i played halo 1 for as long as i did. it seems like with every other media outlet, the big companies just want to squeeze as much money out of it as possible. modern cod is a prime example of this

to them, all that matters is the bottom line profits. they dont really give a damn if its good or not.

the whole frostbite engine is too complicated to mod thing is bullshit publishers simply want to squeeze money from you and prevent you from getting free content

@HerrObserver didnt know black ops had dedicaited servers, that is good, why did they mess up with mw3? dedicaited servers are a must for modern pc shooters , hy

I'm really glad that you bring up the modding issue, because publishers have forced a lot of negative change over the years. A lot of people don't remember this, but DICE used to patch in community made maps (Highway Tampa in 2142). We could play modded maps on Ranked servers. I must point out though that Black Ops was not a flop on PC. Dedicated servers and mod tools returned, and while I personally don't like CoD as a game, Treyarch was very nice as a developer to the PC community.
