Well, "banging" it on the bottom sounds like way too much would end up in the lid. I just shake it up one time and I've got the perfect amount.

Yeah, except that if you bang it you'll have makeup flowing over the lid and have to pour it all back. It's a mess. Maybe you've never tried it? Try it, you'll see what I mean.
