Seen Huey Lewis Do Hot Pants when he was with Clover in 1972 or 3....closest thing to JB I ever seen..but no-one will ever come THAT close to James Brown...I was in jail the night James Brown died ...the entire cell block let out a collective low moan when the guards announced it... Dec, 2006 it was sadder than having to spend Christmas and New Years in there.....and it made them the saddest Xmas and N.Y.'s I ever had....

I had to repond to this!You don't have any idea how long it's been since I heard this version. I have every James Brown song that he ever produced, recorded and performed but I could find this extended version of "Escape-ism". I first heard it over my uncle's house on a 45 record and I played it over and over again, I even recorded on a cassette tape from the 45 record he had. LOL. Thank you for bringing back these great memories!.

@TruThicknessTV This wasn't issued in the full version on the original album. Not sure why since James Brown typically released long versions of his recordings. The full extended version was released on the reissue CD of the original album "Hot Pants" which is out of print, but still available for download on Amazon.

Fyi, the actual full version is 19.09 long and is on the reissued 'Hot Pants' cd.
