cut out the rear brakes is dodgy. out of all the preasure in the brake system, the fronts get 70%, so it you push the brake pedal just enough to lock the fronts, then the rears barely try to slow down as they only supply 30% of the braking.

Just rev the fuck out of it, drop the clutch and jump on the brake, practice makes perfect, dont give it too much brake or it will slow the rear wheels down and give it enough brake that it doesnt move too fast.
