My favorite University of Chicago MBA turned Realtor Prudential Rubloff's Lyn Flannery is our tour guide as we visit this 1930s-era 5-bedroom, 5 ½ bath home in unincorporated Winnetka.

In this first part of our tour we wander the spacious living areas and upstairs bedrooms of 1220 Hill Road. In the second part we visit the sprawling back yard, talk about the schools and the lifestyle in this area.

  • I did notice. I don't think those are original. A lot of homes in Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, Ohio were built in the 30's and this home here in Winnetka is very similar to the majority of their housing stock, and unfortunately they are very difficult homes to deal with.

  • Did you watch this video? The home has higher ceilings and window walls facing south.

  • The ceilings are so low in homes built in the 1930's and 1940's. There is no way that it would be flooded with light, it will be dark all the time.
