Mike Harden, the late columnist for the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch, passed away Oct. 13, 2010 at the age of 64. Mike was a tremendous writer and person, and one of his causes was the legacy of America's greatest columnist, Ernie Pyle. Mike led a seminar in Pyle's home of Indiana on July 9, 2010 about Pyle. The event was part of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists' [columnists.com] 34th annual conference. In this brief video, Harden, who wrote a book about Pyle, talks about what Pyle's life would have been like after World War II if he had survived. Pyle was killed at the end of the war in 1945.
