Very Close Lightning Strike

It was close, but the guy behind the camera manages to stay cool, calm and collective. Great shots of the storm front and color of the sky, with tornado sirens going off in the background. The lightning strike itself is quick, but a little too close for comfort. It's a good, solid stroke of lightning. I couldn't see any forking.

I think it's the BEST idea to stand in a wide open parking with a metal camera DIRECTLY under a severe storm surround by cars and powerpoles. thumbs up if you agree too

@TheOnePistol Yes a possibility, as green clouds usually indicate a strong storm (strong enough to possibly make tornadoes!) but only 30% of these severe storms actually make a tornado

@arpadpihes no thats part of a shelf cloud. A funnel cloud would more likely to be seen at the very back of the storm where the main updraft is
