Protest in Silwan: It's about the Settlement not the Archeology, 1/9/10

On September 1st, the settlers in Silwan had a conference on the archeology of what they call "The City of David". A group from Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity (www.justjlm.org) came to protest and inform the participants of the political meanings of the event. The police did the work of the settlers and kicked them out.
ב-1/9/10 קיימו המתנחלים כנס על הארכיאולוגיה במה שהם קוראים "עיר דוד". פעילי "סולידריות שייח ג'ראח, (www.justjlm.org) הגיעו כדי למחות ולספר למשתתפי הכנס כי מדובר בארכיאולוגיה בשירות ההתנחלות. המשטרה סילקה את הפעילים ונראתה כמי שפועלת בהוראת המתנחלים

It is good to see these pigs tossed off like garbage. They abuse their freedom of speech by trying to silence those they disagree with. If they wish a forum then they are of course free to stage their own event. But not at the expense of other people who already have gathered to discuss an opposing agenda.

@msyavuz20 Which Arab government is that exactly? Palestine was part of the Ottoman empire. Ottomans are not Arabs. Also, they kept trying to Islamize the area by bringing Muslims from all corners of the empire, such as Bosnia and Cherkessia. They also ethnically cleansed the Jews of Tel Aviv during WW1.

@msyavuz20 Zionists accept other religiouns in their country, but not any national rights. If the mormons would like to have Utah as their own seperrate state would the US government allow it? In the West Bank and Gaza I can agree for a Palestinian state where they can have their national rights, but in the State of Israel it cant be with in 1967 boarders they cant have.
