i know many brides have this at their weddings but i have always wanted this at my funeral should i pass before my dad. I know that is kind of dark but my dad is everything to me and i lead a pretty dangerous lifestyle and my parents will probably outlive me.This song says it all, i just wish i could make my dad more proud of me, i am the black sheep not married, rehab, suicide, 2 kids out of wedlock, no job. i know as a parent you have to accept your kids for who they are, and be there for them

@Mitchbeav Pls dont say this, & have hope in life. Everyday is a new day, a new begining, its never 2 late 2 make a new fresh start. Im sure yr dad loves u more unconditionally & wishes u nothing but the best of everything. Im sure hes already proud of u, no matter what. u said it all, as a parent u hv 2 accept yr kids 4 who they are, & b there 4 them. From what u said, u sound 2 me like a great person, but youve been let down in life a lot. Its ok, everything will be fine, have faith ♥♥♥

I'll tell you this: Bette midler had her wild moments in her career, but she also had her soft side as well. This went to #1 in 1989. It's not bad, but, it's not "The Rose". That was more worthy of being a #1 than this, but, hey, that's just me.

I sang this at my dad's funeral - I felt uplifted - he was ALWAYS there for us at every sporting event, performance, etc. At the end of the funeral, we clapped for HIM. It was about time he got applause! Your dad loves you. Tell him how you feel. My brother never got to before my dad passed unexpectedly. Bless you on your journey.

My friend Cindy deserves this song...she was my rock and I never told her!!! She is still alive and have told her...but I don't think she forgave me for missing her wedding and I had moved to Phoenix in Dec of 1994 and she thinks I did not....So Sorry Cindy!!!

This is the song I dedicated to my mom for so many years. Proably occurred to me once I truly grew up. My mom always knew this was the song I dedicated to her. My mom passed on in November of 2008. Word of advice; Never hesitate in letting those you love,respect and honor know how you feel about them This life is so short.
