Although I get frustrated, I don't consistently feel anger. The reason I started this site is because when I tried to talk to my SM about this problem, she made the argument that it had nothing to do with hoarding. She really made me feel like I was crazy. So I filmed to confirm with strangers (since I couldn't have people over) that this was, indeed a problem. And then find advice. Someone asked me, "Could you have done this w/o filming." The answer is no. So I do this to make progress.

My grandmother had OCD & hoarded, but because our family all lived 1,000 miles away & she never let friends into her condo, no one knew about her hoarding until she had a stroke, from which she died a week later. Even though there was no way for me to know, I still lament that I couldn't help her while she was alive, especially since she laid on her kitchen floor in that mess for 2 days after the stroke before EMS came.

Since the house is a duplex and your stepmother is so miserable in her marriage, is there any way to move your father and sister into one half and leave your stepmother the other half? I'm guessing that it's either been floated and shot down, or is impossible due to hoarder entropy (the hoarders I know have a hell of a time rethinking how they use space), but I wanted to ask.

Great videos, btw. They've really helped me in dealing with the hoarders and clutterers I know.

I have watched your videos and you have a lot of anger towards your step mom. You don't live in this house yet you are blasting this mess all over the internet. Your father is at fault here and your sister along with your step mom. You all need some counceling.

You know, I realised that THE SECOND you start to get nervious then you should immedietly do what should be done as the nerviousness starts to take over your mind making you even more uncomfortable. :) Good Luck!
