THE GREATEST SUDANESE OF ALL TIME! WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT! HIS PREDICTIONS ARE 100% CORRECT AND UNDENIABLE!

I wish Nimeiry had live to see this wise man words coming to light in Jan. of 2010 when the South will break away from the rest of the country as a result of the laws he enacted and implemented them.

respect to this man.
it takes courage when some of your fellow believers have so low, they go in for vigilante violence against those who speak out against intolerance.
its time for the muslim enlightenment to begin and mr TAHA was one of the precursors to it.
shame on sudan for murdering an old man.
shame on sharia islamic supremacists everywhere.

He never recanted, he died for his beliefs. You're belittling the cause by that statement. Some of his followers recanted.

Sorry, ryukenb2y, I'm not Christian. You are right in one thing: It is not Jesus (Joshua) who "invented" Christianity, but
prophet Paul came 40 years after "INRI's" crucifiction. Also okay that many people thereafter "added" many things to the Bible.
No gov't should have the right to condemn anyone for
what he thinks. Of course, "blasphemy" is an offense , but who is the one to decide what "blalsphemy" is and whether it should incur death penalty. Can we get along on these terms?

I am not surprised a christian spoke such rubbish.you guys slander muhammad(saw) and then blind follow the bible to which your scholars have found numerous additions from man and later ommissions. And beloved jesus(pbuh) never called his disciples christians. Then you speak about my country and compare the leaders with islam. are you insane.thats like comparing hitler with the prophets. know fact we muslims hate the goverments

Nothing has changed even in modern times. The prophet Habakuk already said: "Might goes before right", and goddes Justicia always has been the willful prostitute of dictators (vide: Freisler/Hitler). If somebody is sentenced to death just because he speaks out what the gov't does not like, Islam is not yet ready for modern times.
This is a brave man, solid, and has demonstrated with this short video how he stood like a man in front of what had been a savage, merciless regime. He was simply practicing his right to his ideas and thoughts. But those who were too ignorant and fargile to face such courage took the easy way out. They only murdered him.
