Johnny gave an interview some years ago where he said that they were not trying to change the music world they just wanted to write catchy tunes you could tap your feet to or something to that effect. Clearly they did just that. I thought that was a very real and down to earth statement. It is why I am and will always remain a Goo Goo Dolls fan.
