I've scouted some videos on side control and you are about the only one that gave me this kind of advice thank you. Now, when you say hand on his hip (to keep him from moving) do you literally mean hand on his hip or is it your forearm (meaning hand all the way down to elbow) on his hip? Also which side of the hip, the one opposite to you or the one next to you?

why do you dont want the opponent to roll in to you when youre in sidecontrol? ..he gives up his back and you choke him!

cause he'll pull guard dumb ass and your back to a nuetrall position!

if he rolls in to you he can get you in half gaurd

that's easy if you are fighting with the dummy.
