CHAN Rothana Father is Kbach Kun Boran Khmer Master (Kru). He explained what are Dombang Bokator (Lkot Tvik ou Lkol To) and Dombang Staupe. For him, Khmer Martial Art origin is Khorm Yuth or Yuthakun Khorm.
Later, his son " CHAN Rothana " and his student " Chan " show how the Khmer warriors used the dombanb bokator and the dombang staupe.
wont the sword chop through that bamboo if it is swung full force?

Yuthakunkhom, is there anyway you can get a clip of those Kru's to defend a hook for me? I just wanna see if it's the same or have any similarity to the Boran I'm training. Thanks!

@someatapicharana I will be back in Cambodia in few weeks. As for time of visit I am very much booked on daily basis. Maybe if given the time I'll let you know when I can visit. And maybe when my dad come to visit again we all can meet there and then. I don't have that much of a knowledge in Kbach Boran but I do know bits of here and there.

"Demonstrating is one thing putting it to battle is another".
I agree with you.
For the rest, you don't have all the necessary information.
Yuthakun Khorm is all that : boran, boxing, ju jitsui, wrestling, etc... and weapons
When you will have the opportunity and chance to see the authentic krus in Cambodia, these krus will explain you what is Yuthakun Khorm. It will avoid you wasting time to discuss on Internet. When you will come in Cambodia, I shall make you meet these krus.

Demonstrating is one thing putting it to battle is another. And my perspectives of fighting are: Boran=stand ups, Boxing=punches, Ju Jitsui=grapplings, Wrestling=takedowns.

I would love really love to pay a visit to both federations. Maybe there's more to it to see in person than what's on the internet.Yuthakhun Khom does have more authentic Khmer styles than of Bokator's. But I'm still not seeing any valuable points of their techniques yet but just a simple "I kill you with my techniques" wich is the equivalent to fighting a standing mannequin.

It is difficult to discuss with people who want to drown fish in the water.
I was student at lok ta kroma meas at Psar Orussey (bokator Academy), then I were at lok kru CHAN Bunthoeun (Kla Hos), I saw the difference.
I regretted having wasted time and some money at bokator Academy.

I also like to point out to all the masters in Cambodia that I've seen this past years on youtube that they are in no knowledge to expose their Martial Arts to the world to see. I also believe that there are real masters left alive still hiding in the shadows. They're just waiting for the right time and kind of people for them to actually show up. Yuthakun Khom nor SKS Bokator techniques are watered down for marketing strategies or for whatever reason it's just not right for our cultures.

I am in no knowledge wutsoever to do a conference call to all masters but my dad does have the ablilty to do so. I would also like Sakah in :Long Beach, Ohio,Ottawa, San Francisco, Lowell, Australia, Germany to be a part of this meeting. We will let you guys know ahead of time and hopefully we can agree on a date and time for this year if not next. Talking does not make actions only actions can do so.

Lok OK Sophon knows Mister SKS (San Kim Sean) and the other krus but it is not him who decides.
It belongs to the Khmer people, especially to the elderly who must determinate what is the real Khmer Martial art.
The real question is : "is bokator of Mister SKS authentic or created by him?
