Dead things is a horror film made in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in mid 2007. Silent and black & white because of technical limitations I hope it still manages to scare some of you. Edited on Windows Movie Maker. This was my first attempt at making a scary film. I'm currently working on another horror film, here in the UK, but this time using semi-professional equipment. So please subscribe to Veeder Films be kept up to date on my more recent projects.

  • @DirtTankProductions We worked with the resources we had- a photographic camera with grainy video function and poor sound quality, with no option for external mic. We adapted to our limitations- thus black & white and silent. Thank you for watching and commenting. Appreciate your interest :)

  • great job on this. making a movie with a still camera was a great way to take advantage of a still camera that shoots video. then the limitations of the camera dictate the end style like the silent and black and white. sometimes limitations are better than no limitations. best of luck with current project.

  • @h3dpictures I guess sometimes technical limitations force you to focus as there are parameters to what you are and arent capable of doing. Glad despite the low-tech you were able to appreciate the film. Thank you.

  • Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!! Bravo!!! I loved it! When you finally find out why they all where targets it was CREEPY!!!!! I love the Music at the end! do you mind if I use it in my upcoming film?

  • @slkster77 thanks so much. Really glad you enjoyed it and of course- feel free to use the track. It is called {Vaka} by Sigur Ros, and yes the brackets are part of the name! Be sure to credit them in your tags though- copyright etc.

  • Awesome short! The style of this film really works and is better than most people's first at making a horror film. The shots and editing were great for the equipment you had, and I love the Friday the 13th homages! I'm very much looking forward to your next project.. This was brilliant!

  • @slashville haha, I'm so glad you liked it! My current film is going to be very different- much slower paced, and more of a character piece I guess, so definitely more about building mood and tension than an all-out slasher. It's always good to try different things I suppose! Would love to hear more about your next planned film- drop me a message if you don't want to share it on here!
