We can't get our own resources because Barry and the envirowhacks are blocking drillling.
And did it occur to anyone that we wouldn't need as much oil as we do if everyone didn't think they had to drive boxy, wasteful, unsafe and dangerous SUVs and pickups for daily transportation?
But noooo, Barry's motors keeps building them instead of practical cars. America doesn't make any of those but instead outsources to Asia and puts their badges on them, telling the public they're "American" cars.

But really.... what's taking this so long to go through? The Pickens Plan has been around for 2 years, Boone Pickens has talked in front of countless thousands of people and likely well over a hundred million people know in general what the plan consists of. Why isn't it in affect yet? Is our government that stupid?
